‘Inversion’ may well represent Iran at 2018 Academy Awards

‘Inversion’ directed by Behnam Behzadi may well represent Iran at the Academy Awards 2018.

Reports say that despite the long list of possible Iranian movies to serve as Iran’s submission to the 2018 Oscars, ‘Inversion’ has more chances.

The film is a quietly dramatic tale of a woman in Tehran who decides to take charge and find ways to better express herself in the metropolis.

Its title refers to thermal inversion, a meteorological condition causing air pollution.

‘Inversion’ has already participated at many international film festivals in various countries.

‘Inversion’ as Behzadi’s fourth feature film took part at the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2016 with critics and audiences alike finding much to admire in the film.
